On behalf of Enel Servizi S.r.l., Studio Pacheco performed the detailed three dimensional study of the thermal diffusion in Porto Romano's thermoelectric plant. The aim of this study was to evaluate the thermal plume's impact on the marine environment, to provide Enel's engineers with important information about the thermal recirculation near the plant and to propose opportune optimization of the inlet/outlet structure.

In this study different hypothetic environmental and seasonal scenarios have been studied to evaluated the impact on the marine ecosystem. The results of the study have been analyzed according to the international and Albanian normative
